Moab Flatwater Workshop (Guided)
Moab Rafting & Canoe Company offers classes for flat-water paddling. The
dramatic red rock scenery of the Colorado River corridor sets the stage for our
canoe classes. Choose the workshop or private instruction, these classes are
tailored to your ability and needs. We will focus on whatever area of paddling
you want to improve. We feel confident that you will come away with a sense of
personal satisfaction and achievement.
As a class participant, you will have the opportunity to try paddling tandem or
solo on calm waters to help you develop your own style. Workshops or private
instructions, are led by a Utah licensed river guide, and American Canoe
Association certified instructor, trained in self river
rescue.
All of our workshops begin with basic river safety. You will spend time on flat
water learning and practicing basic strokes. Good, clean technique is essential
for effective paddling. After our calm water session, we will move to working on
maneuvers such as eddy turns, peel outs, spins, and ferries.
Single day $125.00 Two Day $180.00
